Hiring attorney or firm
The named lawyer or entity responsible for the work, with the jurisdiction where they are admitted.
The prior page contained illustrative listings that could be mistaken for active paid roles. They have been removed.
Future opportunities may be published only after the hiring attorney, compensation, supervision, jurisdiction, deadline, application method, privacy handling, and last-verified date are documented. Until then, no opportunity is represented as open.
Every listing published on this page will carry the same eight verified fields. The standard exists because the common failure of a legal opportunity board is a posting that reads as an offer while omitting the terms that would make it one.
The named lawyer or entity responsible for the work, with the jurisdiction where they are admitted.
A stated rate or range, the basis for it, and the payment schedule.
The person who reviews the work, and the points in the assignment where that review happens.
The body of law the work concerns, plus any residency or bar-status requirement.
The date applications close, and the expected start window.
Where materials go, in what format, and what the sender should expect back.
What happens to an applicant’s materials, who reads them, and how long they are kept.
The date a person confirmed the posting still stands.
A posting missing any of the eight stays unpublished.
The workflow lab on the main site carries three frameworks. Each is a plain Markdown file, downloadable and adaptable inside an existing practice, clinic, or course.
Question, jurisdiction, authority table, synthesis, application, unresolved questions, and supervisor review.
Download MarkdownA source-linked event register carrying disputed-fact, privilege, and completeness states.
Download MarkdownA clause inventory and escalation log for routing questions to the supervising attorney.
Download MarkdownThey follow the same structure a published assignment would use, so the frameworks stay useful on their own terms.
For attorneys. Adopt the frameworks with a clerk, extern, or associate already working under your supervision. The research memorandum is the usual entry point, because it surfaces the authority trail and the open questions before a draft arrives. The review gates are written into the framework itself, so the points where your judgment is required stay visible on the page.
For law students. Work the same three frameworks against a closed matter, a clinic file, or a class problem. The structure is the transferable part, and it reads the same way whoever assigns the work. A completed chronology or issue log also shows a supervising attorney how you organize a problem.
A prelaunch inquiry reaches a person directly, and any reply describes the status as it stands that day.
